Department Q Crime Series will begin to solve these insoluble cold cases

At the turn of this century, a crime thriller entitled Cold Case was quite anger among the spectators. With Kathryn Morris, a detective from Philadelphia with her problems, which after the other solved one cold case, the series ran for seven years. Dept. Q, a new Netflix series with a similar concept that opens its cold case files on May 29, 2025 could repeat such a success.

The new series is based on the books by the Danish author Jussi Adler-Olsen and the star Matthew Goode as Edinburgh, Scotland, Detective Carl Morck, who has to solve some personal demons.

An officer was dead during an attack and his partner was paralyzed and the guilt pushed on the shoulders of Morck. In order to regain his trust, Morck is commissioned to open a cold case department – department Q.

Scott Frank wrote and directed the series and insisted that Goode was cast in the main task.
