Refreshing in front of the NBA draft lottery. The when, where, how and what is with everything

In just a few days, the NBA will hold the design of the lottery and we will have a much clearer picture of what jazz can expect during the rest of the summer and the next season.

In this sense, it is a good time to refresh everything lottery.

When

The lottery will take place on Monday, with the results being broadcast on ESPN at 5 p.m. MDT. The actual lottery drawing takes place shortly before the broadcast.

Where

The lottery takes place in Chicago on a larger scale and begins the NBA combine unofficially (although the G League combine begins two days before the lottery and the combine harvester begins the day before the lottery).

In a smaller and more detailed level, the lottery drawing can be found in a private space cut off from the outside world. Only a handful of representatives and employees of league are accompanied by a representative of every team and between 12 and 20 media members (including their). There are no phones, intelligent devices or recorder in the room.

It is a small conference room in the congress center in which the results of the lottery are broadcast on ESPN in a nearby ballroom. After the results for the rest of the world have been announced, everyone in the lottery salt room is left out.

How

Fourteen Pingpong balls, which numbered 1 to 14, are placed in a lottery machine. There are 1,001 possible combinations of numbers if four balls are pulled. Before the lottery drawing, the lottery teams are assigned 1,000 of these possible combinations (140 combinations that are assigned to the three teams with the worst record, hence the 14% chance of number 1).

The team, to which the number combination was assigned, which corresponds to the first four balls drawn, receives number 1. The process is repeated to determine the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4.

The design position for the remaining lottery teams (selection from 5 to 14) is determined by the regular season in reverse order, so that the lottery team with the worst record that does not achieve a top four election received the number 5 selection and the reason (therefore the lottery floor of jazz is jazz).

What

The jazz ended with the worst record of the 2024-25 season, so that together with the Washington Wizards and Charlotte Hornets (which had the second and third-tissue tests) they will have the best chances (14%) on number 1 in 1st place. No matter what happens, jazz is guaranteed to have a top-five choice.

However, this is not the only selection that jazz will have in June design. You will also have the No. 21 selection in the first round as well as No. 43 and No. 53 (both picks of the second round). As the combination follows the design, all four design positions of jazz will be important to take into account.

Justin Zanik, General Manager of Jazz, the team in the lottery salon and jazz owner Ashley Smith will represent jazz on the ESPN stage for the lottery results.
