WWE Backlash 2025 results, highlights & live blog

It is a historical occasion when two long -time rivals meet at the WWE setbacks in the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

Randy Orton and John Cena enter the ring in the ring to see in their WWE career, but both superstars will have a lot to prove.

The match has been the first title defense for CENA since winning the undisputed WWE championship of Cody Rhodes at Wrestlemania 41 last month. Despite a record win of the 17th World Championship title, he has greater goals than to retire as a “last real champion” in WWE.

In the meantime, Orton could move one step closer to the story with a victory. “The Apex Predator” has 14 world championship winnings – bound the third time with triple h – and how sweet No. 15 would be if he could grasp the championship in his hometown.

The atmosphere will be electrical when Cena and Orton step into the ring one last time.

There are three more titles on the Backlash card.

Lyra Valkyria defends the intercontinental championship of women against the former friend Becky Lynch, Penta Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Champion, and Drew Mcintyre, Damian Priest, La Knight, and the current champion Jacob Fatu collide in a fatal 4-way match for the United States Championship.

The lonely non-title match shows Pat McAfee, who shot the WWE raw commentator one to one with Gunther a few weeks ago.

The Takedown on SI will have a live report on Wrestlemania 41 from 7 p.m.

WWE Backlash 2025 main card

– Perhshard Owens gets things started with the “star clamping banner”.

. Can “The Samoan Werwolf” hold three hungry superstars to keep his title? This is the large E -special.

– Michael Cole mentions that Fatu has never been held or submitted in his WWE career, but his opponents do not have to do to take the title from him. Great point, and small trivia notes like this give the Multi-Man games a lot.

– Knight runs wild to start the match when he unleash his frustration over everyone. And then it is Mcintyre's turn, but Ritter stops his momentum by counteracting a Claymore attempt. Next priestly when he has control over the action … until Fatu meets him on the barricade a Samoan drop.

– Fatu and Mcintyre face the joy of the crowd. Fatu gets the upper hand and goes up, but Mcintyre removes his eyes. Knight comes between her and then Fatu delivers one of the most impressive offensive sequences you find. The man is simply on a different level and the fans agree.

– Fatu hits the Swanton, knight hits the BFT, the priest meets the south of the sky and Mcintyre hits the Claymore for another great series. Mcintyre then hits a claymore on a knight, but priest pulls the referee out of the ring with two and a half. Priest screws Mcintyre again!

– Knight moves out of Fatu's Moonsault and follows him with a diving arch for an almost autumn. Mcintyre and priests close in the crowd and they set themselves on an equipment box. Then the priest hits a south of the sky on Mcintyre through a table. Pure chaos.

– – Jacob Fatu defeats Drew Mcintyre, Damian Priest and La Knight to keep the United States Championship. With these two outside the picture, Knight tries to benefit by putting Fatu on the announcement table. Solo Sikoa, however, pulls Fatu off the table. Knight confronted Solo, but Jeff Cobb is here! Cobb destroys Knight and throws him back into the ring. Fatu is not sure about it, but he hits the Moonsault on a knight to keep the title. This match was all gas and no brakes. Enormous!

-CobBS WWE -Debรผt obviously adds a lot of excitement where things go from here with the Rogue version of The Bloodline. How will Fatu react to Solo that apparently builds a new army? No matter how it unfolds, most can agree that the possible Fatu vs. Cobb -Match could be fantastic.

– Becky Lynch against Lyra Valkyria for the Intercontinental Championship of women has expired next. Is “the man” two: two for two in title games?

– The WWE Night of Champions 2025 is officially for June 28th in Riad, Saudi Arabia.

– Valkyria goes at the beginning of the submission route and she stretches Lynch in a way that would make the late Stu proud. Lynch is not happy about it and she finally gets up to date with a number of crimes that contain some beautiful heel tactics.

– As if that weren't enough, Lynch begins to mock the fiancee of Valkyria in the front row. For Valkyria it was one step too far and she tries to achieve a comeback, but Lynch thwarts it. But here is the champion! Valkyria follows Lynch again and gets a close autumn.

– Both women fight at the top, and Valkyria hits an impressive blocking superplex for two more counts. Shortly thereafter for her own Lynch Foundation, it contains it, but the referee discovers it to use the ropes for leverage and stops the number. Valkyria then flies on the outside over the top on Lynch.

– Valkyria goes up and puts a leg waste on the neck of Lynch, but it is another kickout. The two women exchange punches and Lynch curls in the arm stick. Valkyria surrounds himself into an arm bar, and Lynch reverses in the disarmed. You act near Falls and Lynch meets the Manhandle Slam … but Valkyria appears out again!

– Lynch tries to find out what to do to win. Your first thought is to grab a chair. She brings it into the ring, but the referee takes it away. So Lynch decides to release the clamp in the corner. Valkyria with a German Suplex and spin-kick, and she hits a second rope for two.

– Lynch with another Manhandle -Slam, but it is the same result as Valkyria comes out again. Lynch is officially angry and she hits Valkyria's head in the mat. The referee recognizes that the clamp is exposed to, so it reaches for the pad and goes to put it on again. In the meantime, Valkyria is beating the night wing, but the slight delay of the Grafin enables Lynch to make two and a half.

– – Lyra Valkyria defeats Becky Lynch to keep the women's intercontinental championship. Several PIN attempts by both women, and Valkyria made a lot of shot in the nose. That was brutal, and Cole brings a broken nose. However, Valkyria manages to roll up Lynch to keep the title.

– After the match, Lynch loses it and goes to Valkyria, which still keeps her nose. Officials bring Lynch to withdraw as she goes back.

– It is Penta against Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship. What is the day of the youngest in this match? Could we bring a step closer to a Lucha Bros in the WWE?

– Speaking of recent days, the trio of Finn Balor, JD McDonagh and Carlito let Dominik go to the Ring solo. I guess you will be back!

– The first huge sequence of the game is Dominik, which flies through the ropes and beats a DDT on Penta on the outside. That was so smooth from the champion. Dominik then throws Penta into the steel levels for a good measure. She loves the crowd just something dirty cathedral.

– Penta finally wins the momentum by jumping on Dominik outside from the tip of the post. Both men act with counter and penta comes close to that. Dominik then goes into the back of tricks to meet Penta for a Two Count Oblivion. Hollywood Mega star Liv Morgan will later reward him with chicken ships.

– Dominik may need them after Penta has hit a Mexican destroyer on the ring apron. Ouch. This is where Carlito comes and he distracts the referee while Balor grabs a chair. The referee turns around and sees this development and casts Balor, McDonagh and Carlito. You won't go, so Penta dips on her over the referee.

– – Dominik Mysterio defeats Penta to maintain the intercontinental championship. The parliamentary group is still not left, and that distracts the referee again. And here comes El Grande Americano, who uses the steel plate in the mask to take out Penta. Dominik then hits the Frog Splash for victory to keep the title.

– On Monday RAW it is Balor against AJ Styles, The War Raiders vs. Creed Brothers, Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky against Roxanne Perez and Guilia, and CM Punk speaks for the first time since Wrestlemania 41.

– Logan Paul against Jey Uso for the World Heavyweight Championship is officially for the edition of the Main event on Saturday evening.

– The wonderful destruction of Pat McAfee against Gunther expected. Maybe that's not pretty.
