A 17-year-old, who was charged with a high-speed accident on Valentine's Day, in which an older couple was killed in Pembroke Pines, was tied to prison on Saturday after a judge in Broward County set a deposit at $ 350,000 on Friday.

Albert Oswaldo Yanez Quintana is accused of ruthless on February 14th when the investigators say that he asked through a residential area and hit a car that turns left in the NW 12th Street and in the Dykes Road.

The crash killed Hugo and Patricia Cardona, an older couple who remembered the heart of their family in court.

Broward judge sets the release of strict conditions

During the hearing on Friday, Yanez Quintana received under strict conditions, including pre -judicial supervision, electronic surveillance, an arrangement without drive and restrictions that prevent him from leaving Broward County.

Family members of the victims asked the court and describe the devastating effects of the crash.

“You were the center of our family,” said her son Hugo Cardona. “We have a great emptiness. We believe that justice is delivered in this case.”

Her grandson, Gabriel Cardona, said he was preparing to call her with good news that day when he learned that they had been killed.

“They stole two people from my world,” he said. “This is not a race track – it is a community in which people live.”

Yanez Quintana faces two counts of the vehicle murder, a number of ruthless driving that cause serious physical injuries, and four cases of ruthless driving that cause property or personal damage.
