How Qatar Fund allegedly reached Urich, Feldstein – Israel politics

An investigation team depicted the path from Yonatan Urich and Eli Feldstein, the main suspect in the “Qatargate” case back to Doha, Kan News reported on Saturday.

Urich is a consultant of the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Feldstein is a military spokesman for the office of the former office of the Prime Minister.

The team analyzed bank accounts, data from the cell phones, the suspects and additional evidence evidence to find out how the transfer of money has occurred, explained Kan.

Feldstein's trail allegedly attributed to Gil Birger and Jay Footlik and comes from the Qatarian government, according to the investigation.

Urichs Trail, which seems to have been older since 2022, and after the outbreak of the Israel Hamas War until 2024, also came from the Qatar government and transferred another company to a former Mossad operative, according to the investigation.

From there, the funds called Perception, which Srulik Einhorn belonged, were allegedly transferred to a company. Urich serves in particular as the company's senior consultant, Kan reported.

This money was allegedly used to improve the global image of Qatar, including promoting the World Cup in Qatar 2022, the report adds. These efforts to improve Katar's image continued after the Hamas massacre on October 7, the report.

Is there plausible denial?

In view of the fact that the trace of the money towards Urich went through several other hands, especially compared to the more direct traces to Feldstein, there is more space for plausible denial on every step in Urich's lane.

Yonatan Urich was arrested late Wednesday evening after the survey and released from custody on Thursday, but the decision was lifted later that night.
