The hiring of Limestone County shows the ongoing support for job seekers, employers

The Limestone County Economic Development Association (LCEDA) organized this week a hiring event to connect local job seekers with employers in the region.

The hiring event was offered on Tuesday in the Alabama Veterans Museum and Archives on a partnership between LCEDA and the Chamber of Commerce of Athens Limestone County. The session of May 6th brought about ten local companies with current open positions, offered the participants the opportunity to network, learn about available job offers and to take part in interviews on the same day while they were still on site.

A highlight of this year's event is Career Connect, an online setting platform. According to LCEDA, Career Connect has successfully associated thousands of job seekers with employment opportunities in other regions of the state.

If you are looking for your next job and have not participated in the event, you can still register via the Career Connect platform. Visit www.northalabamajobs.com/athens and complete your digital curriculum vitae, apply for open positions and receive support around the clock. Anyone who is looking for a job in Northern Alabama can register, regardless of whether he took part in the hiring event this week or not.

Career Connect is also suitable for employers: companies can easily register on the platform, post active positions free of charge and access the digital CVs from job seekers via a safe dashboard of employers. To register your company for Career Connect, visit www.northalabamajobs.com/job-connect/amplyyer-login.

“One of our top priorities is the strengthening of the local workforce by helping more people to enter the labor market or re -enter them,” said Bethany Shockney, President and CEO of the Limestone County Economic Development Association, in a press release in advance. “This attendance event offers us a real way to increase the participation of the employment population and to coordinate job seekers with employers who are willing.”

The companies present that are present at the week of attitude were the Alabama Department of Transportation (Aldot), the old Black Bear Brewing, Crawfords Gifts, the Athens Limestone Hospital, the Huntsville Coca-Cola, Custom Assembly/McK Trucking, Golf Distributing Holdings, Rogders Group and more.
