Knicks had the chance to be on the right side of the NBA story. Now you have questions

New York – Slice it as they want, but the Knicks needed play 3 as well as the Celtics.

Just like no team in a playoff series of 0: 3 came back, no team in NBA history has ever given the lead a 3-0 series. New York, who was 2-0 in the game on Saturday, had the chance to be on the right of the story. It was the Knicks, not the Celtics who had the opportunity to get receipts and to stick to everyone who said they had no chance against the defending NBA champions. That should be enough motivation to be ready to roll.

And Saturday could have been a day of the celebration. It could have been a moment for a franchise, a team and a passionate fan base to take how far they got. The scenes outside the Madison Square Garden were just as energetic as inside. Saturday was a chance for New Yorkers to seriously consider what was in front of themselves instead of reproducing stories that were given by parents and grandparents.

New York, just like Boston, had every reason to play as if his season was at stake. Again, statistics were in favor of the Knicks. Instead, they were throttled by the Celtics and lost 115-93 and now have to take a real view of the mirror.

“I don't think we have come with the attitude to be (not) satisfied, but to be unconsciously satisfied, to be 2-0,” said Jalen Brunson.

Whether true or not, New York played that way. That is the problem. It is not the case that the Knicks lost it is how they lost. They were dominated again for a large part of the game. Only this time this dominance took longer and New York was not good enough or scratchy enough as long as it had to be deficit as before.

After the result of Saturday, there was a constant in the first three games in this series: Boston had a lead of 20 points ahead of New York in every game. In order for the knicks to prevail, that has to change.

In the games 1 and 2, New York fell back due to the ability of the Celtics, missed missed shots into points, because they dominated on the offensive glass despite the historically poor shooting. In game 3, the Knicks have better restricted the chances of the second chance in Boston, but these options were not so widespread because the Celtics were able to make 3 Series and make comfortable 3.

Boston's honor held on to his bread and butter. It was not afraid to take 3 after they were not able to do the first two games. New York gave Boston problems by changing in the first two games instead of playing in this deep drop. In my understanding that the Knicks have changed nothing with their game plan, it is clear from these two pieces that Karl-Anthony Towns believes that the team ends in deeper reporting. Regardless of whether there were misunderstandings or cities, it was simply too relaxed, it enabled the Celtics to feel comfortable and find their shape from 3.

In the second clip, New York may expect a second screen from Jrue Holiday. In the first two games, the Celtics had heavily rely on the double screens to create matchups they wanted. Boston did not always fix the second screen during this game and it looked like New York was a little confused. Nevertheless, nobody is a big problem that Celtics has certainly contributed to finding their rhythm.

“It wasn't what it should have been,” said Josh hard about the pick-and-roll defense in the first half. “It should have been more physical and aggressive. We let them get into a rhythm early and feel good early. We cannot do that. We made the mistake and as I said, we have to learn from it.”

If you are looking for a silver strip as a knick fan, the offensive in three games was not good and yet New York still has a 2-1 series lead. However, part of why New York is stagnating, but is due to how well Boston is defensive. The Celtics never have a bad defender at the court. They are a versatile group that can protect directly up or change all over the line.

In seven regular seasonal and playoff games against Boston, New York only shot over 48 percent once, and that was the first game of the year. The Knicks still lost 23.

Apart from New York's resistance, we learned about this team in the post -season that the crime is better when the defense is on a cord. The Knicks were not together on Saturday. So that New York is the best version of itself, it starts at the defensive end.

“If you miss recordings, you don't have the same energy,” said coach Tom Thibodeau. “There are many different ways to help you win a game. Nobody will shoot great every evening. There will be nights that you don't shoot well, but do other things to win over the team. That is all year round.
