Children screamed when her mother's friend helled her puppy with a hammer to death, say MPs

Milan township, Ohio. (Woio/Gray News) – The children of a woman heard how her friend, according to the authorities, made a puppy in her house in Ohio to death.

Erie County's deputies answered an emergency call after he had received reports about a man who killed a puppy and triggered a “rush of screams of family members”.

When the MPs arrived, they discovered an “extremely disturbing” girl outside the house, and she told them that her mother's living friend, 45-year-old Jimmy Wiggins Jr., had killed and fled her puppy.

Additional MPs arrived on site.

They supposedly said that the house was in complete disorder, smelled strongly of animal feces/urine and was basically “not uninhabitable due to the unfortunate conditions”.

When the authorities spoke to the girl together with a second child, they told the MPs that Wiggin threatened to suffocate the puppy that was identified as Hank.

One of the children said they heard screams as if a puppy was screaming, followed by the noise.

The children said they had seen their dog, which was identified as Hank, dead in the bathroom, but the puppy's body was gone when the MPs arrived.

Wiggins was also gone and allegedly left only a bloody hammer and a bottle of peroxide that the children said that he had washed his hands.

During the search for the surrounding area for Wiggins, the deputies found footprints, which they followed behind the house to the river. Then they heard sticks break and a splash.

With the help of additional first aiders and drones, the MP Wiggins, some of which were immersed in the water and hold on to a tree branch.

Together with the mother of the children, the 42-year-old Gretchen Howard, he was taken into custody, who was found in the possession of a crystallized substance just a few hours earlier during a traffic stop.

Wiggins and Howard were both booked to prison on May 7 and their bonds were set at 50,000 and 20,000 US dollars.

Wiggins were charged with two cases of endangered children, and each counting of manipulations with evidence, cruelty to animals and disability of the official business.

Howard is also suspended two charges for risk to children and a number of official businesses.
