Body Cam Video shows the arrest of the Newark Mayor Ras Baraka in the ICE facility

He claims that nobody said a word to him when he was on the property, but Alina Habba, the preliminary US lawyer for the District of New Jersey, published on X that the mayor ignored several warning to remove himself.

Baraka described his arrest as humiliating, stressful and depressing.

“You made the decision to arrest me. You made the decision to hurt me. You made the decision to humiliate me to put me in cuffs and asked people to get me to the ground. Thank God the position of home protection did not,” he said.

The mayor said he was treated with dignity and respect in custody and he had fully cooperated.

Dozens visited a rally outside of the foley Square on Saturday to show their support for Baraka.

“What happened to Mayor Baraka yesterday is wrong, it is worrying and it is reason to complain,” said spokesman Sienna Fontaine.

“If you could do the chosen official, none of us are safe,” said supporter Sarah Birnbam.

The mayor Opponent in New Jersey's Governardrasse also came to his defense.

“The good news is that it is out. But the bad news is that there are many others that do not exist, and I think we all have to stand in solidarity and continue to defend themselves,” said Rep. Josh Gotheimer.

Baraka said he Will continue his fight against the company that leads the ice cream facilityCall the facility dangerous and illegally.

“We didn't really inspect it. We weren't there. So we have to say that it is dangerous,” he said.

DHS claims that the permits of the facility are valid and were deleted.
