The Mayor of Geneva calls the police scandal “discouraging”.

The mayor of Geneva Steve Valentino expressed disappointments after the arrest of a city police officer and the suspension of two other deep disappointments. He spoke of public provision after the official Michael Tapscott had resigned under the allegations of the sale of drugs on duty.

Valentino, clearly frustrated, said the situation clouded the image of the city and undermines the hard work of the wider police. He emphasized how annoying it is that an official of the hometown violates public trust, especially as a Geneva, to build up a strong reputation of the community.

The mayor demanded patience and assured the residents that the city leaders prioritize transparency and accountability. He expressed hope that the department and the city would emerge from the crisis more.
