The family thinks a monument to the 18-year-old, who was killed in the shootout with officer

Cincinnati (Wxix)-the family of an 18-year-old who was killed by the police in early May to remember him and release him in honor of balloons.

18-year-old Ryan Hinton was shot by a police department police in Cincinnati on May 1st.

The chief of police Teresa Theetge says that Hinton was found in a stolen car with three other teenagers. When the officials arrived, they ran all in separate directions.

The Body Camera video of the 6-second chase is blurred, so it is difficult to see what happened. According to Chief Theetge, Hinton has directed a weapon on the officer who fired several rounds on the 18-year-old. The Cincinnati police said they had recovered a semi -automatic pistol from the scene.

“They didn't have to do that,” said Hinton's brother Diamonte Jackson. “They gave my brother 6 seconds to live.”

Jackson says it does not appear from the video that Ryan threatens the officer.

“It is not right, it shouldn't have happened,” he said. “I don't even know how to feel.”

Hinton's little sister Zuri says that she will remember him as a reliable Big Brother.

“Ryan was really the best brother of all time,” says Zuri. “And he was funny and he never gave up anyone. He always made sure that someone went well.”

Jackson says he and Hinton are close and born only for a year.

“That was my little brother, but he became my big brother that soon,” he says.

The siblings of Hinton say that you see how everyone gather that gather to support them means that. You say Ryan was a football player and had recently started a new job.

Family members talked about the hope of giving Hinton's memory alive.

“We will make sure Ryan lives on. Long live Ryan, live Ryan,” said a family member.

Several studies on the shootout have not yet been completed, including one by the lawyers of the Hinton family.
