Hlongwane, Markanich and Lod score a goal when Minnesota Miami defeated 4: 1 – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sport

St. Paul, Minn. (AP) -Bongokuhle Hlongwane, Anthony Markanich and Robing Lod scored a goal on Saturday to help Minnesota United beat Inter Miami 4-1.

Minnesota (6-2-4), who defeated Austin 3-0 for the last time to achieve a win without three games, won two games.

Hlongwane achieved his first goal of the season to bring Minnesota 1-0 in the 32nd minute. Hlongwane, who scored a goal for the career high-11 goal last season, struck behind the defense and time to play his run on a ball that Carlos Harvey played for a one-touch finish in the right corner of the 6-yard box.

Markanich scored 2-0 when he scored his second goal in just as many games in the first half in the first half and in the third of his four-year MLS career. Michael Boxall played a long throw-in into the close-up pipe, where Nicolás Romero looked back to Markanich, who removed a header from the point-blank range. It was the first career assistant for Romero, a 21-year-old in his first MLS season.

Lionel Messi scored in the 48th minute when he turned a shot from the left center of the area over the outstretched arm of the diving goal Dayne St. Clair into the back post.

Luis Suárez (personal reasons) did not play for Miami.

It scored his own goal by Marcelo Weigandt from Miami 3-1 in the 68th and Robin Lod ran on a pass from Tani Oluwaseyi and set a one-touch finish first goal of the season path to reach the rating in the 70th minute.

Miami (6-2-3) defeated the New York Red Bulls 4-1 to recover from his first defeat of the season, with a 4: 3 defeat against Dallas at home on April 27.

Miami defeated Minnesota 2-1 in the only other meeting between the clubs in June 2022.
