Business teams organize a fundraising campaign for a family of children who were killed by trucks

Pleasant Grove, Utah-es was almost two weeks ago since the 9-year-old Dalton Gibbs was hit and killed when he ran his bike from school in Pleasant Grove, which rocked the close community.

“After reading the story, I had the feeling that they were pulled on their hearts and they just want to do everything to help,” said Thomas Moak, owner of Chubby's café in Pleasant Grove.

He decided to organize a fundraiser for the family with a goal.

“That your grief process will be as easy as possible. That you don't have to worry about other things that appear here in the time when you try to mourn,” said Thomas.

On Monday, all the income that the restaurant takes will go to the Gibbs family.

Ben Moak, owner of Chubby's café in Vineyard, then decided that he also wanted to become part of the fundraiser at his location.

“I can't imagine being a father, losing a child,” he said, “that really breaks my heart. I have a daughter who is currently driving.

William Moak, owner of the Orem location, also knew that he had to join the fundraiser, especially after he had the feeling that the news met near home.

“I have a 9-year-old and only, I don't know, just the thought of what, just the feelings, losing him would only be that it would mean a big tribute,” said William.

All three brothers have the need to afford their part, and everyone has the goal that the family does not feel alone.

“Just a feeling that people take care of it, and there are people around them who love them who want to help take care of them,” said William.

All three brothers all encourage them to afford their part.

“Sit in your shoes and just try to understand what you're going through,” said Thomas.

The aim is not only to support Dalton's family, but also for the entire community.

“Pleasant Grove is an astonishing, amazing community. It is such a closely mesher.

All Orem, Vineyard and Pleasant Grove locations are open on Monday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
