The Ghanaian police service has arrested a suspect due to an intelligence, a suspect of possessions of two (92) plates of a substance that is suspected that the hemp is in India.

The suspect identified as Buchari Yakubu was arrested on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 1:00 a.m. in Akatsi in the Volta region in his residence after the police went out on the road.

Examinations have been carried out so far show that Buchari Yakubu has to do with narcotics in Akatsi and its surrounding areas.

A search carried out in its residence led to accessing 92 plates of a substance that was wrapped in yellowish material and suspected as Indian hemp and two royal motorcycles that are suspected. After the preliminary survey, the suspect admitted ownership of the objects.

He is currently custody in police, supports in investigations and is brought to court.
