Wolves vs. Warriors Playoff's end result: Minnesota takes over the series management

The Minnesota Timberwolves have a chance and a challenge. On the one hand, the Golden State Warriors are without superstar Stephen Curry, which makes them a much worse team. On the other hand, since rumors come out that Curry may be able to return after game six, Golden State stipulates the rough conviction that your hero will arrive in good time if you can only hold long enough.

After a fairly one -sided game with a game for the Warriors and a returned favor in game two, the third game for the establishment of this series was certainly. In order for Minnesota Curry to avoid, after an impressive defeat in the first game, they would have to achieve four wins.

After the Warriors had been blown out, they made the first chess and added Trayce Jackson-Davis to the starting line-up. The center in the second year Rudy Gobert gave problems in short batches, and Golden State pursued everything to give them an advantage.

After the hint, the first half started well. The wolves set up twice in two -digit victories, but they gave them to the extended runs of the Warriors, where Minnesota was completely incapable.

It is a trend that has continued in the playoffs. As good as the wolves are, they are not immune to a poorly time -controlled slump in shooting or an embarrassing lack of effort.

When the second half joined, the Warriors had a two-point in the lead, even though they had missed each one of their 3-pointers. When Brandin Podziemski and Buddy Hield each made three three and the warriors expand their lead to the rough cheers of the Comer Center Crowd, it seemed as if game three might be over.

And yet the wolves stayed around. A team that was supported in the first half by Julius Randle and Naz Reid in the first half played their own waiting game when they expected an admittedly limp man.

This man was Anthony Edwards.

And he finally appeared.

After the start of 0/9 out of three with less than ten points before the break, Ant ended the game with 36 points. While Ant's 28-point second half was certainly the decisive factor, it was by no means the only one. Julius Randle had an absolute master class and a triple double.

This is a team that was galvanized and continues to survive terrible achievements. When Ant had to fight, Randle and Naz were the cargo. When the Donte Divincenzo and Nickeil Alexander Walker further apart among the brightest lights, Jaden McDaniels' steady game checked the wings.

While the Warriors received excellent performance by Jimmy Butler and the recently returned Jonathan Kuminga, Draymond Green falsified with two points.

It is easy to consider Green's performance as a bitter zero, but Anthony Edwards could only get started during his bad difficulties. Warriors fans will blame the third foul for Draymond, which instead seemed to be an indictment against Julius Randle, but the honest truth was: Draymond Green had had at least Five fouls. As important as this unique foul was, you can't act as if Green is not always in bad difficulties.

Let us tell us that we work with the details of the adrenaline-inducing game of the wolves.

Key Takeaways

Kuminga pursues his next contract

Jonathan Kuminga had an incredible game after being banished to the shadow area to end the season. While the former G-League Ignite Forward was replaced by fifth post, there would always be a need for gunshot creation if Curry undertook for injury.

It was easy to expect that despite the problems he showed as a consistent rotational player, he would take a look at it. There were constant mistakes in terms of defense, disappearance of efforts and a general existence that he was the best player on the pitch.

That was until tonight. Kuminga's shot was not the best part of his game tonight. Instead, it was his on-ball defense that noticed. This version of Kuminga, a purchased super athlete, is worth the contract that the future Free Agent has requested. In the next few weeks he could earn a few million dollars.

It can be time to press the panic button

It is not hyperbolic to say that Donte Divincenzo was bad in the playoffs. While people asked the New York Knicks last year whether he had the best contract in the league, the late season this year Donte saw the main use as bait.

Even with two Two-Point stinkers from this evening through seven playoff games, Donte shoots 30% from the field and a gruesome 21.7% of Deep. For a 3-point specialist who earns his livelihood as an off-ball mover with a Lightning Quick publication, this is certainly less than ideal.

While the next focus player may have lost even more money, Divincincenzo's inability to be an average player has often appeared. We will come to the often used “eight starter” plan line, which coach Chris Finch repeated, but Donte's 16 minutes felt completely unreservedly.

It is sad to hear that a player is so massive for Minnesota for Minnesota before the season.

Check the free agents to be

If you believe that you are hurt, imagine how Nickeil Alexander Walker is doing at that moment. After a third year in a row, Naw entered the playoffs as the perfect complementary player. What he has been since then is anything but.

Nickeil only shoots a little better than Donte without the Italian's flexibility of the contract. While teams certainly do not change their opinion on players after a few weeks, his case will certainly cost him a lot.

None of us still want to think about the low season, but Minnesota has to worry that three of her rotary persons go to the free agency. Julius Randle, Naz Reid and Niceil are all free agents at the end of the year. Randle was immense and will probably be back. NAZ is the most popular player in a generation of wolving basketball.

That lets Naw look outwards.

Unfortunately, he makes the choice of who stays very simple for the wolves.

The myth of “eight starters”

Do you have the saying “A hellcat looks really good until a lambo pulls up?” Well, Minnesota may have only noticed that in her rotation. The claim that all of their rotation could be starter in most teams sounds great until the alleged players have difficulties at the starter level to play numbers at the reserve level.

We talked about Nickeil and Donte, but in these playoffs it was really exposed how valuable depth is, but at the same time, how easy it is to overwrite the depth they have.

The Cleveland Cavaliers observe in real time while Ty Jerome turns back into a pumpkin. The warriors say that Podziemski evaporates instead of Steph Curry. These ideas of the depth are so valuable that the rotations are shortened, and these additional 12 to 15 minutes simply have to stay above water.

Unfortunately, they have five enthusiastic players for Minnesota, and none of them are Point Guards. Perhaps this is Rob Dillingham after a rookie season in the purgatory for a larger role in the next season, but in the here and now it leaves questions that Donte Divincenzo, Mike Conley JR and Niceil Alexander Walker have not answered.

Next on

The Timberwolves will be back in action for a second game in the Bay Area on Monday evening to build up the notorious 3-1 lead that Steph Curry would not return in time. After today's dog struggle, the fourth game is certainly even more messy and even more marked.

The game starts at 9 p.m. CT and is broadcast on ESPN.
