Humvee falls almost 30 feet from the highway with reported injuries

A military humven that dragged a trailer who was dismantled by Interstate 90 in Bellevue on Saturday in Bellevue, Washington, according to the Washington State Patrol over a retaining wall and on a street below.

The crash occurred on the I-90 in Ostbound near the district of Eastgate when the vehicle went to the right for unknown reasons and left the highway. It then crossed a grassy shoulder and fell about 30 feet into the southeast -38. St., Trooper Rick Johnson told Fox News Digital.

“This Humvee -Tonic Trailer had traveled east on the Interstate 90 and was right for some reason,” said Johnson. “We don't really know (the) reason and (it) left the highway like a small grass area over the freeway and then went over a wall … on one of the surface streets underneath.”

“The Sergeant on site told me that it was minor injuries, but … The fire brigade really suggests that they are checked out,” said Johnson.

The military vehicle was part of a convoy that was assumed that he was on the way to the Yakima Training Center in the center of Washington, a common goal over the I-90. Johnson noticed that the Humvee was “quite damaged”.

Photos that Johnson shared on X showed the consequences of the crash and the steep decline from the highway to the street below. He said that no video material was available at this time, and the agency had not been presented to any dashcam clips.
