Trump's team has trade talks in China in Switzerland, while Prez tries to reduce the tariff rate of 145%

The US economic officers met on Saturday in Geneva and their Chinese colleagues for the beginning of the negotiations with high missions to solve the trade war, which has dissolved the global economy.

The talks between the Chinese Vice Minister of Vice, the Lifeng and the Minister of Finance Scott Bessen, continue on Sunday and have been the first between the two nations since President Trump has increased the tariffs for Chinese imports, and the communist nation, which is committed to 125% against US-MADD goods.

Besser, together with the US trade representative Jamieson Greer – both in red ties – were left on Saturday morning on the way to the conversations that take place in a location that is not mentioned.

The talks were resumed in the afternoon, and Trump later observed them as “very good” with “great progress”.

“A very good meeting today with China in Switzerland. Many discussed things that have agreed a lot. A total reset that was negotiated in a friendly but constructive way. We want to see both China and the United States, an opening of China for American business. Made great progress !!!” The President wrote about the social truth.

“China should open its market for the United States – it would be so good for you !!! closed markets no longer work !!!” Trump wrote.

“80% tariff in China seems to be right! Until Scott B,” he added.

The press spokesman for the White House, Karoline Leavitt, later told reporters on Friday that the number was hardly carved into stone.

“It was a number that the president threw out there,” she said. “The president still remains with his position that he will not unilaterally reduce tariffs for China.”

The President has blamed China for taking part in unfair trading practices with the United States and having not done enough to stop the global flow of fentanyl from its limits – but in the past few weeks he has stated that he wants to come to a deal and that he will not play “hardball”.

“No, I will not mention Covid. I will not say:” Oh, I'll play with China Hardball, I'll play hardball with you, President XI. “No, we will be very nice,” said Trump last month.

“We will see what happens. But in the end you have to complete a deal, because otherwise you will not be able to be involved in the United States,” said Trump at the time.

Trump said he was associated with China because of the tariff war, which, according to his tariff on April 2, began on April 2. He then reduced all the tariffs of all countries to 10% – but China left 145% due to the country's special measures to the United States.

The White House made sure not to make a specific promise about how the conversations will shake out – and has emphasized that the United States will only do a deal if China works together.

“We will see what happens this weekend and always in the efforts of transparency, I am sure that after completing these negotiations, they will hear from the finance minister or the President,” said Leavitt.

The President announced his first trade agreement with Great Britain on Thursday, whereby the 10% tariff left for the US ally, but opened the British market for US agricultural imports and received the country's access to the import of 100,000 cars into the USA at 10% instead of 25%.

The 10% basic tariff will be a “template” on how other countries are treated, Trump's trade advisor Peter Navarro said reporters in front of the White House on Tuesday.

The prices will be higher for countries who try to reciprocate against the USA, he said.
