Trump praises “friendly, constructive” US China trade talks

Watch: USA and China are ready to speak tariffs – who will blink first?

Donald Trump says that after the first day of talks between American and Chinese and Chinese officials in Switzerland there was a “complete reset” in the US-China trade relationships.

In a social media contribution, the US President described the talks as “very good” and said that change was “friendly but constructive”.

In an escalating trade war between Washington and Beijing, the US President met Chinese imports to the USA with tariffs of 145%. China has returned to some US goods with taxes of 125%.

After months of there, the two countries meet for the first time since Trump at the beginning of the year with tariffs with tariffs.

So far, little information about the truth of the US President of the US President has emerged from the talks. They are to be continued on Sunday and take place between China's Vice-Prime Minister and US Finance Minister Scott Bessent.

“We want to open China for the benefit of China and the USA for American business. Made great progress !!!” Added.

On Friday, the press spokesman for the White House said Karoline Leavitt, Washington would not unilaterally lower the tariffs, and China had to make his own concessions.

Both sides spent various other warnings before the meeting, with Beijing said that the US would have to alleviate the tariffs, while Besseter emphasized that the focus was on the “de -escalation”, and this was not a “big trade agreement”.

The Chinese state media reported that Beijing had decided to deal with the United States after taking the global expectations, the interests and appeal of the country by American companies.

Last month, the BBC found that Chinese exporters had to deal with the US tariffs – a company, Sorbo Technology, reported that half of their products were normally sold to the USA and is now sitting in boxes in a warehouse in China.

In the meantime, it was found that the US economy had shrunk in the first three months of the year -an annual price of 0.3% -ran as companies to bring goods into the country.

The trade war between China and the United States worsened last month after President Trump announced a universal basic tariff for all imports to the United States about what he referred to as the “day of liberation”.

Around 60 trading partners, who described the White House as the “worst offender”, were exposed to higher rates than others. The list included China and the European Union.

Trump said this was a repayment for unfair trade policy for the United States.

He also terminated a 25% import tax for all steel and aluminum in the USA and another tariff of 25% to all cars and auto parts.

Last week it was announced that the United States and the United Kingdom had agreed a deal in which the 25% for a maximum of 100,000 British cars are reduced to 10% – which corresponds to the number of cars that the Britain exported last year.

Cars are the largest export in the United States Great Britain worth around 9 billion GBP last year.
