Kering underlines his commitment to sustainability on the 2025 CHASTEROW summit

Use nature as an economic decision

On April 24th, Rachel Kolbe Semhoun, head of the initiatives for sustainable procurement and nature on Kering, entered the stage to explore the topic of “nature as an economic choice”.
The panel dealt with the urgent need to transform ecosystems from intangible treasures into measurable assets. Using water as a case study, they discussed how the monetization of ecosystem services can discuss financing for the preservation of biological diversity, the restoration of ecosystems and make the advantages of nature and climate regulation and flood protection visible. Rachel recognizes this “There are clearly calculable ecosystem services that are incredibly valuable for many. Sometimes these services occur, of course, and sometimes they result from land responsibility by people – local communities, farmers and others. It is important to recognize the value of these systems and services and to understand the actual asset that lies in the preservation of it.“”

Leading purposes led into fashion

On the same day, Géraldine Vallejo, the director of Kering's sustainability programs, switched to fashion sustainability experts from the exclusive Futur.io CSO reception. In an intimate, only inviting environment, the managers gave an insight into how the fashion sector can drive positive changes. It highlighted real examples of sustainable innovation and illustrates the critical role of the targeted leadership in the redesign industry for a more sustainable future.
As a manager and influential, it's not just about driving changes in your own company. It is about working with others, working with open sourcing, sharing innovations in order to scale them and deal with collaborative and upcoming initiatives.“Geraldine emphasized during her conversation.

Increase increase in sustainability in corporate governance

The following morning, on April 25, Marie-Claire Daveu, head of sustainability and institutional matters at Kering, took part in the top-class panel “Your board on board”, together with the leaders who were beaten in the bodies in several bodies of the listed companies. The discussion emphasized the need that committees proactively integrate ESG principles into corporate management and emphasized how sustainability at the board of the board is of essential importance for long-term business success and social effects.
Today's rapidly developing world requires that boards not only take a step back, but courageously exceed limits and adopt disturbances for permanent effects. It is the duty of the chairman to actively promote a culture in which directors are authorized to fear decisions fearlessly, and where a resilient, future -oriented collective way of thinking is not negotiable.“Said Marie-Claire
