The reigning managing director of the Ghana Gold Board and National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, made headlines after he has given a non-mentioned amount of US dollar for fetish priest-pastor-pastor-pastor-pastor pastor, which is known in prison as Nana Agradaa.

Gyamfi stands next to his White Range Rover in a video that was shared on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) and takes a photo with Nana Agradaa that has her arm around him. The two are involved in a short conversation.

Agradaa insists on handing over all notes instead of selecting a few. She continues to grab all the money out of his hands and, when she goes away, displays the dollar bills to viewers and explains: “I took $ Gyamfi dollar in dollars.”

Moments later Gyamfis White Range Rover is accelerated.

This incident is made in the middle of repetition allegations from the media reports of 2024 that Gyamfi and his wife spent thousands of dollars to party funds on a wasteful trip to Miami, USA.

However, the pronounced politician vehemently denied these claims.

In an interview in the Badwam program of ADOM TV on Monday, July 1, 2024, Gyamfi spoke to the video, which some have indicated as evidence. He made it clear that the film material was recorded with his wife after her wedding during a previous visit to Miami.

He denied the knowledge of the hotel, in which he was accused of remaining – reported that he cost 3,000 US dollars a night – and rejected the claims that he had received 42,000 US dollars from the party for the trip. He also released rumors that he had recently spent two weeks in Miami.

He then sued two journalists Wilberforce Asare from Asaase Radio and Michael Afriyie from ABC News because he slandered him with the publication.

Court documents cited by Ghanaweb showed that Sammy Gyamfi demands damages of 10,000,000 GH from the accused.
