Video: Twu The greatest class of all time

Trinity Western University celebrated the largest final class in its history this spring and honored more than 1,500 students during the ceremonies, which took place on April 26 at Langley Events Center.

Friends, family members, faculties and employees gathered to cheer the TWU students, concluded with degrees for students and graduates, and explained this year's cohort for their academic achievements and their executive development, said President Dr. Todd F. Martin

He congratulated the class from 2025.

“It was our honor to support you here during your time and to conduct you in your training, growth and personal development. Faculty and employees share the joy of this moment with you, proud of everything you have achieved,” he said.

Equipped to lead well

“If you enter the marketplaces of life, you not only have a degree, but also a mission,” continued Martin. “The world in which they enter needs executives who think deeply, act and live with steadfast faith … Today we will send them with great hope and know that they are ready.”

A day of celebration and blessing

This year's basic degree in Valedictorian is Joseph Bebawi, who completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with Human Services, was shaped by his experience with the TWU community as real care and kindness.

As part of the celebrations, TWU also recognized outstanding faculty members who illustrated excellence and innovation in class.

Dr. Jeffrey Beck, Sessional assistant professor for leadership, received the Davis Distinguished Teaching Award 2025, while Dr. Jason Burtt, assistant professor of sociology, received innovative teaching award 2025.

Every year, TWU awarded the Citizenship Award of a student for graduates and male students who illustrated the management of servants and made a significant and positive contribution to the campus community. The recipients are selected by a coordination of peers, employees and faculties and recognized during the Baccalaureate service of TWU as part of the spring celebrations.

This time the winners were Sen Longkumer and Lukas Schuch.

On April 24, 2025, TWU also celebrated the formal inauguration of the sixth president of the university, Dr. Martin.

Gabriel Miller, President and CEO of Universities Canada, offered congratulations, while Dr. David A. Hoag, President of the Council for Christian University and Universities, made the opening challenge.

Trinity Western University was founded in 1962 and is a global university for Christian Liberal Arts.
