After a strong excursion, the Texas Rangers are again on the Corey Seaager Injury Watch

Detroit – The Rangers are in an overly familiar place: dealing with a Corey Seaager injury.

The shortstop, which started the season with a calf injury and recently spent time with a knee tendon load with the IL, was outside the Rangers on Sunday. Seager had returned with a little knee tendon on Saturday. He went on Saturday with a double and two Homern 3 for 4, but left the game after the seventh inning.

“He will continue to be treated today, then we will see where we are when we come home,” said manager Bruce Bochy. “It flared up a bit [Monday]Perhaps more reviews to see if it has gotten worse. At the moment we are only careful. “

It raises the obvious question: Is another IL stint a possibility?

“It's always a possibility,” said Bochy. “If we think this is the course we should take to eliminate this thing and make it healthy, then, yes, we will do that. This is nothing new. If there is a point where we have to do the thing, we will take care of what we will do.”

It was only on Saturday that Bochy recognized that the Rangers discussed what they could do – if at all – to get Seaager more regularly on the field. He missed 15 of the first 41 games of the Rangers this season and has played in just 80% of the teams of the team since the 2025 million $ 325 million in the signing of a 10-year contract.

The lack of Seaager this year is particularly striking. The Rangers went on Sunday game in Detroit 15-11 when Seaager plays, and 4-10, if he doesn't. They had an average of 3.85 runs per game when he plays against 2.43 runs when he doesn't.

The Rangers Ezequiel Duran Kurz played on Sunday and Josh Smith played the first basis against Tiger's right -hander Reese Olson.
