Frustrated Trump Slams Putin, Ukraine as a peace conversation hopes to stall – politico

Russia came to Ukraine in early 2022, and the resulting war killed hundreds of thousands of people. Under Trump, the United States – who had been a convinced financial and military supporter of the Ukrainian war efforts until he took office – have been closer to Russia and dragged away from Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, shortly after Trump's post, said on X: “We are waiting for a complete and permanent ceasefire tomorrow to offer the necessary basis for diplomacy. It makes no sense to extend the murders.

Trump admires Vladimir Putin, but was frustrated by the Russian president in his efforts to end the war, a task that he had promised during his election campaign within 24 hours.

“I doubt that the Ukraine will complete a deal with Putin that is too busy celebrating the victory of the World War LL, which could not be won without the United States (not even nearby!)”, Wrote Trump on Sunday. “Have the meeting now !!!”
