Arcade Fire carries out 'Pink Elephant' and 'Year of Snake'

Arcade Fire returned Live on Saturday evening on May 10th to perform new songs from their upcoming album.

The Canadian quintet – led by the front man's victory Butler and his wife Régine Chassagne – entered the stage in Studio 8h in front of its upcoming seventh studio album ,, Pink elephant.

Arcade Fire opened his set with the title track of the album and closed with the new single “Year of the Snake”.

Pink elephant will mark the band's first album since 2022 We6th place on the Billboard 200 reached and rose to the summit of the Top Rock -Alben charts.

The upcoming 10-track album was recorded at Butler and Chassagne's Good News Recording Studio in New Orleans and will be released this spring by Columbia Records. The album is described as a “cinematic, mystical punk effort” and promises a tonal odyssey that explores topics of light and darkness, inner beauty and the “perception of the individual”.

The publication also marked Arcade Fire's first since several former fans Butler 2022 of sexual misconduct accused. The front man denied that one of the encounters was not mutual, but an apology “to everyone I violated with my behavior”.

The SNL The appearance was the band's first big television performance since the allegations came to light.

The episode on Saturday was the sixth appearance of Arcade Fire in the long-term NBC sketch comedy show. They made theirs SNL Debut in 2007 during a episode organized by Rainin Wilson. In 2010, they returned alongside hosts Scarlett Johansson, followed by a 2013 performance in Tina Feys. In 2012 they served as Mick Jagger's backing band. The group returned with Bill Hader again in 2018 and recently appeared in an episode organized by Benedict Cumberbatch in 2022.

SNL will close her 50th season on May 17th with the milestone, and Johansson returns as a host and bad Bunny as a musical guest.
