Evan Phillips' injury worse than Dave Roberts, thought Dodgers first

Los Angeles Dodgers' right-handed man, Evan Phillips, was set as a precaution on the injured list with the right discomfort-the manager Dave Roberts initially thought. A few days later, it seems that the aid injury is much more severe than expected, since Phillips does not take up baseball for “a few weeks”.

When providing the latest update to Phillips, Roberts admitted that the injury was worse than he thought. An MRI on Phillips' elbow resulted in inflammation, but no structural damage.

“Yes, I think it's just to be honest,” said Roberts. “They go from potentially pitching to say that I just can't solve myself to go on the IL.

“But … am I worried about it? No.”

Phillips were initially expected to be activated as soon as it was drained off by the IL. However, it seems that this will not happen.

The Dodgers are careful with Phillips because it is needed in October and October. The right -hander was one of the best helpers for the Dodgers last season and ended the year with an ERA of 3.62, 63 strikeouts and 17 walks over 54.2 Innerings.

“It is an inflammation in his elbow, so it will only take a few time,” said Roberts. “We will take some time with Evan, because as we said from the start, it will be so valuable in the future that we have to be careful and careful with the structure.”

Phillips had not allowed a run this season and threw six strike outs while allowed two walks over 5.2 innings.
