Video: Fire destroys garage in Racine County, content a total loss

What we know:

According to Kansasville Fire & Rescue, the firefighting teams were sent to a registered structural tax shortly before 5 p.m., where a lawnmow was brought on fire in a garage on County Highway DB (Saumont Ave).

The fire brigade of Union Grove-Yorkville and the Raymond Fire and Rescue Department were also sent on site.

When the crews arrived, she found that the lonely one -story bearing garage was on fire. The garage was about 600 feet from the street.

The fire grew quickly and explosions were heard, and a closed, overheard garage door burst outside. Flames came from the windows.

A MABAS (alarm for mutual auxiliary boxes) was activated and requested additional resources for the scene. Personnel and equipment of 12 surrounding agencies reacted to support.

The crews put the supply hose from the road up from the road and a water supply was set up on the street.

Although around 25,000 gallons of water and five gallon foam were used to fight the fire, the garage and the content were a total loss.
