Child dies after minibus overturned on M4 Slip Road

A child died after a minibus has been overturned on a motorway -slip street, the police said.

The M4 in Berkshire was closed in both directions after the individual vehicle collision on the Linkstrasse of Junction 10 of the A329m near Reading around 14:45 BST on Sunday.

The highway was opened again after about three hours, but the Slip Road was closed, said Thames Valley Police (TVP) shortly before 8:00 p.m.

The troop said that other passengers were seriously injured in the crash and confirmed that no arrests were made.

National Highways used to say on Sunday that the M4 between crossings 11 and 10 and western direction between crossings 8/9 and 11, since “serious injury incidents were involved with a fallen vehicle” on the Linkstrasse.

It warned of “severe” delays that approached the closures in both directions, partly due to broken vehicles in the queues.

The South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) confirmed that he had five intensive care units and six ambulances at the scene near Reading, and a spokesman for Thames Valley Air Ambulance said that he had sent a helicopter and a reaction vehicle in critical care.

Royal Berkshire Fire & Rescue Crews were also present.
