Floridas Kaitlyn Davies achieves the winning of overtime to come to Elite Eight

Sixty minutes were not enough to decide who would progress in the elite eight of the NCAA -Lacrosse master championship tournament of the NCAA women. Florida and Stanford went into extension according to a back and forth regulation.

With the score at 12-Aapiez, both sides tried to achieve the game profit destination.

Then it happened. Uf redshirt -Neuling Freshman -attacker Frannie Hahn found the junior middle field player Kaitlyn Davies, who made her shot home to give the Gator the overtime victory.

Davies' Tor scored No. 4 Florida (19-2) with 13: 12 against No. 10 Stanford on Sunday afternoon at Donald R. Dizney Stadium in Gainesville. It was the second year in a row that UF advised at least the elite.

The all-American junior midfielder was the way for the Gators and scored five goals in the matchup. The attacker Jordan Basso scored four goals behind her.

In the meantime, the second attacker from Stanford, Ava Arceri, and the redshirt Aliya Polinsky added both goals each each.

Redshirt Junior Elyse Finnelle deserved on the net for the Gators and achieved seven parades and allowed nine goals. Cardinal Junior Lucy Pearson's goalkeeper played six shots, but allowed 13 goals.

Florida was strong to open the match and led in the middle of the second quarter by three when Basso achieved an early hat trick. However, Stanford replied and took the lead at the end of the third quarter of 9-8.

The UF fell back and accepted the fourth quarter and scored four early goals, three of which came from Davies. However, the three -goal lead was not sustainable when Stanford stormed back to send the game into the extension.

There Davies was the hero and scored the winner.

The Gators will rise against No. 20 against No. 20 against elite on Thursday. No time has been announced.
