2025 NBA design order: Lottery opportunities, opportunities for number 1, since Cooper Flagg's more likely landing site is determined

The NBA is currently in the middle of the post -season, but that doesn't mean that the eliminated teams are not completely in the picture. On Monday, the league in Chicago will hold its annual design lottery to determine who will be achieved in the NBA draft in June.

As always, 14 ping pong balls are placed in a lottery machine. The machine then spits out four balls. There are 1,001 possible combinations of these numbers, and each combination is assigned to another team in the lottery, based on their record from the 2024-25 season. The team, which has the first combination with four numbers, takes out first. The process is repeated three times to determine who selects the second, third and fourth place.

Then the order is based on data record. Choose 5-14 all come with non-playoff teams. Playoff teams choose from 15 to 30 years. The second round is based exclusively on records, although in some cases the exact order has not yet been determined, since it will be the other way around in the first round, where the lottery sends two bound teams.

In other words, we know the most of the 2025 NBA design order from now on. The rest will be set on Monday. For the time being here is the order we have.

Cooper Flagg is obviously the main prize in class 2025, but it is far from the only available star. It is generally expected that Rutgers Guard Dylan Harper will be number 2 in total. After that it is a little secret. Players like Ace Bailey from Rutgers, VJ Edgecompbe from Baylor, Jeremiah fear from Oklahoma and Tre Johnson from Texas, are all sorts of candidates, but this is a design class that is defined as much depth as Star Power.

2025 NBA Mock Draft: Tre Johnson rises to No. 3; Cooper Flag made with the first choice, followed by Dylan Harper

Cameron Salerno

Talented players are available throughout the class. Regardless of where a team is ultimately selected, it should have a chance to land a sensible participant.

*The choice goes to Philadelphia when 1-6 and Oklahoma City, if 7-9
** The choice goes to Atlanta when 1-12 and Sacramento when 13-14

First rules of procedure: The draft only has a total of 59 picks because the New York Knicks forfeited their choice due to a 2022 manipulation examination. This investigation showed that the Knicks “violate the league rules of the time of the discussion of the free agency this season” to sign Jalen Brunson. In view of the success they had with Brunson, they probably don't shed tears about the lost choice.

As you can see, most picks in the NBA design of 2025 were traded at least once. So who has most picks? That would be the Brooklyn Nets, who select four times in the first round and a fifth time in the second time. Utah with four picks is not far back. All of this can and will change during the draft if trades, especially in the second round, are common.

The NBA design of 2025 takes place shortly after the NBA final in New York. The event will be divided over two days, with the first round on June 25th in the Barclays Center and on June 26th on the second round.
