The 17-year-old teenager, who was arrested in Compton when shooting the 12-year-old boy

A 17-year-old boy was arrested on Sunday at the death of a 12-year-old boy in Fig/Oleander Park in Compton, the authorities said.

The shootout took place on Friday at 4 p.m. in the park in the North Oleander Avenue and the West Fig Street.

The deputies found the boy in the park and started first aid with measures. Maza from the Compton Fire Department took him to a hospital, where he was later declared dead.
