The 17-year-old was arrested in Tween's shot death in the Compton Park-NBC Los Angeles

A 17-year-old boy was arrested in a Compton Park on Sunday in connection with the death of a 12-year-old, the Sheriff department of the Los Angeles County said.

The older teenager will be suspended in connection with the fatal shootout on Friday before a murder accusation. Shots were reported shortly before 4 p.m. in Oleander Park, where the 12-year-old was shot. He died of his injuries in a nearby hospital.

According to the police, a person went into the park in all black clothes and a ski mask and shot the boy and then started on foot. A possible motive for violence was not shared.
