Miami LB Adarius Hayes was a driver on two cars, in which three were killed in another vehicle, the police said

Largo, Fla.-the Line Backers of Miami Hurricanes, Adarius Hayes, was one of the drivers in an accident with two vehicles, in which three people killed and at least two more injured, the police said on Sunday.

The three, which died of the consequences of the crash, were all in a Kia soul who collided with a Dodge Durango who was driven by Hayes on Saturday afternoon. No tickets or criminal complaints were submitted, although the examination continues.

A 78-year-old woman who drove the Kia died, the police said on Sunday. Two children aged 10 and 4 were also killed in the crash, both passengers in the Kia, the police said.

Another passenger from the Kia was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, the police said, and Hayes was also taken to a hospital with non -life -threatening injuries.

“There was no signs of impairment by the two drivers of the vehicle,” said Megan Santo, public information officer of the LARGO, in a statement that was distributed on Sunday.

The crash occurred in Hayes' hometown Largo near Tampa. The Hurricanes have not commented on the condition of Hayes.

Hayes played last season in 12 games as a newcomer for Miami, mainly in special teams. He was a four-star recruit that came from Largo High, and chose Miami, after arousing interest from Florida, Florida State, Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame and Ohio State.

Largo is located about 20 miles east of Tampa and about 15 miles north of St. Petersburg on the Golf coast of Florida.
