York cops rise patrols after hate incidents in Vaughan

After two separate hate incidents in Vaughan, the regional police will get the community patrols and sensitization campaigns under control last week.

According to the police, the officers responded to the first incident on Thursday in the Bathurst St. Major Mackenzie Dr. W. after reports on anti -Semitic graffiti. They said that a swastika that had been sprayed on a sidewalk was found and removed by investigators.

In the second incident, the police said that they were also made aware of a social media video on Saturday that was filmed outside of a primary school in Vaughan. While the police did not register any details about the content of the video, they said: “No threats were made and there is no concern about public security.

“The York Regional Police is aware of the increased concern within the municipality as a result of these two incidents,” Const. James Dickson said in a police statement. “While both incidents are completely examined, they do not remain to be done and are examined as separate incidents.”

COPS probes on Hamilton Mountain

Two men suffered serious injuries to Hamilton Mountain at a shootout early Sunday.

The Hamilton police said they had a shootout on Sunday around 2 a.m. in the Upper James St.-Jameston Ave. reacts where two adult men were found with gunshot wounds and taken to a hospital.
