Clemson Tigers Basketball Star suffers serious injuries before NBA draft

The Clemson Tigers men's basketball program can thank the Viktor Lakhin Superstar Center for the majority of its success last season.

From the time when Lakhin moved to campus after changing from Cincinnati, it was clear that the 6-foot 11th athlete on the pitch would distinguish.

During the 2024-25 campaign with the Tigers, he scored an average of 11.4 points in 34 games. He served as a defense machine with great hope to be selected somewhere in the upcoming NBA design in June.

The Tigers basketball star may have seen every chance that he had evaporated due to an injury.

According to a report by Jonathan Givony from ESPN, the Center Viktor Lakhin recently suffered a brutal injury to his left foot after tingling a tendon. As a result, the Lakhin agent, Eric Fleisher, said ESPN that the promising striker would probably be out for about three months.

After publishing strong numbers at the Portsmouth Invitational tournament a few weeks ago, it seemed certain that the design in Lahkin's future would be – the time of his injury could not have been worse.

For Lakhin it is certainly in the air for Lakhin at the moment when he starts his long way to recovery. He was invited to the NBA G League Combine later this month and was still able to interview potential teams.

Even if it is not moved in in June, there is a strong way that an NBA team will sign it as a non -dragged free agent, as it can be restored in enough time to take part in a training camp in September.

But the hopes of playing in the NBA Summer League, a shop window for choosing designs, awkward free agents and young NBA players who are looking for more season seems to be done.

Already in January, Lakhin gave a courageous explanation of his inability to be injured after a minor fear.

“No injury, I am not injured,” said Lakhin months ago, as reported by Jason Priester from Clemson Insider. “… what do you expect from a center. It is physically down there so that you can imagine.”

While Lakhin was injured by Clemson in the season, his luck has now obtained.

The goal is that Lakhin has a quick recovery and collapsing the outstanding player we saw during every campaign.
