1 in critical condition after shooting of East Boston

A single victim had life -threatening injuries after a shootout in East Boston on Saturday evening, the police reported in Boston.

Around 10:43 p.m. on Saturday, Boston Cops watched shots around 3 Lewis Mall in East Boston, BPD said on Sunday.

At the scene, the officers found a victim with several firing wounds, said the police in Boston. The individual victim, which was not identified on Sunday, brought Boston Ems to a local hospital with “life-threatening injuries”.

A preliminary investigation prompted the officials to identify a suspect that was assumed that he was involved in the incident, and found it at the Maverick Square MBTA station, said BPD. During the arrest and transport, the department found that “several officials were attacked”. No injuries were reported.

The case is actively examined by police detectives in Boston police.

Roxbury Drug Bust

The police in Boston reported that a 27-year-old was arrested on Friday after a search command allegedly appeared fentanyl, cocaine and other drugs.

The Boston officers carried out the “extensive mobile surveillance” about the suspect Jose Irizarry Stepan from Roxbury and found it on Friday in a vehicle in the Tremont Street near West Concord Street.

The police followed the car towards Massachusetts Ave, where the officials found that the vehicle had a “faulty brake light and excessively tinted windows,” said BPD. Additional units were called and the officials carried out a traffic stop near Columbus Avenue and the Heath Street.

“The officials approached the vehicle, identified themselves and informed the operator and two passengers about the reasons for the stop,” said BPD. “The officials quickly recognized Irizarry Stepan as the subject of their search command and gave out exit commands to continue with the examination.”

When Irizarry-Evenpan searched, the police in Boston found alleged objects that were assumed that they were eight small bags of fentanyl, eight plastic bags of crack cocaine, two plastic bags powder cocaine and an aluminum film bag with crack cocaine and marijuana.

The police said she also found an aluminum shell with loose marijuana in the vehicle's center console. When searching for the other inmates of the vehicle, the officials allegedly found a prescription bottle on the second passenger with a bag of crushed blue powder and seven brown capsule pills, which were later identified as a hydromorphone, said BPD.

Irizarry Steepan has been arrested and sees four possessions with the intention of distributing charges. It is expected to be charged with the Roxbury district court.

The second passengers are charged in front of the Roxbury district court due to possessions of a substance of class A, and the vehicle driver was cited with a uniform quote from Massachusetts for defective devices (brake light), excessive window tinting and open containers with marijuana.

ICE reports arrested

ICE reported on the arrest of an allegedly illegally present Dominican citizen because of armed robbery in Massachusetts in March at the weekend.

“Emerson Esteban Arias-Polanco illegally entered the USA and apparently decided to commit an armed robbery while wearing a mask,” said Patricia Hyde, director of Ice Enforcement and distance, Boston Acting Field Office.

The now 27-year-old Arias-Polanco was arrested by Dedham Police Department on November 30, 2023 due to armed robbery, ICE said. On May 3, 2024, he was charged with Norfolk County before the Supreme Court.

Ice Boston has lodged an immigration hefer at the Norfolk County House of Corrections against the suspect on January 5, 2025, ICE said. The agency said that Arias-Polanco allegedly illegally joined the United States at an unknown time.
