Record representative for Rowan's Corson Highlights NCAA WD3 Second Round

All eight quarter -finalists of the Lacrosse Championship of the NCAA Division III in the NCAA Division III have been reached in the third round of this year's tournament on Sunday, but a newcomer to The Sweet 16 is Rowan, who has been playing in the tournament for the first time since 2018.

Rowan extended his school record for victories in one season to 16 with a 20:5 victory over the state of Western Connecticut in the second round of the tournament behind a record day of Junior Elaina Corson.

Corson scored 10 goals for the school record and broke the Nine of Allie Dickie's brand in 2011 and scored by Becca Wood in 2013.

Rowan will meet Wesleyan in the third round on Saturday and will reach the NCAA quarter -finals for the first time since 1999.

🌟 Top performances

Peyton McGuire & Lulu Hardy, Uchicago – McGuire (6 g, 2 a) and Hardy (6 g, 1 a) combined 13 points to meet a meeting with the three -time defending champion Middlebury.

Alison Lax, Stevens Lax scored five goals for career height when Stevens TCNJ defeated 15: 9 to get into the third round in the program history for the first time. It was only the second victory of Ducks over the state rival TCNJ and the first since 2010.

Fiona Lewis, Pomona Pitzer Lewis scored eight goals in the 23:10 victory against Colorado College. The productive senior senior now scores 254 goals for your career and brings you to second place at school.

📈 noteworthy

The Jim Nestor of Salisbury won the 500th victory of his career at Seagull's 9: 8 against Haverford. Audrey Harrington scored the gaming goal with a lead of just seven seconds.

The loss of the Colorado College against Pomona-Pitzer marks the end of Susan Stuarts Fantastic Trainer Career. Paul Ohanian introduced them to the USA Lacrosse Magazine at the beginning of spring.

William Smith overcame an early deficit with four goals and said goodbye to Bridget Finley's goal with 3:37 to play. It was the first victory against Amherst after he had lost in the last four competitions.
