Deadly crash with several vehicles blocks all lanes to the north on the I-75 on Sunday afternoon

Update (9 p.m.):

The Tennessee Highway Patrol confirmed that the crash was fatal.

At this point it is unclear how many people who are involved in the crash have died.

The agency said that she was working on the investigation with the police department of East Ridge.

Update (7:45 p.m.):

Six cars and a tractor trailer were involved in the crash, confirmed East Ridge Police Department (ERPD).

According to the ERPD, two vehicles were set on fire.

ERPD said everyone involved was taken to the hospital until 6.45 p.m.

The drivers are currently encouraged to avoid the area because the crews continue the clean -up work.

The traffic was derived from the I-75 to the north to exit 1, said ERPD.

Update (6:40 p.m.):

At least a minor was brought north to the north due to a fiery crash against the I-75, said the East Ridge Police Department (ERPD).

According to the ERPD, a total of seven or eight vehicles were involved in the crash, with some serious injuries being reported.

ERPD confirmed that a semi-sip is one of the vehicles involved.
