NYC crimes: 3 officers injured from broken glass after shots on Staten Island were fired

Port Richmond, Staten Island (WABC) – Three officials were injured after shots were fired on Staten Island.

It happened on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. in the 294 Richmond Avenue in Port Richmond.

The police say that a Nissan SUV fled from a police and was stopped by another marked police vehicle. The 31-year-old suspect then shot in his vehicle and beat the marked police vehicle.

No officials were hit by shots, but three officials were taken to the hospital due to minor injuries by broken glass.

The suspect then fell into a parked vehicle and was taken into custody.

The police say they have not fired their weapons in the suspect.

The examination continues.
