Coppon, Ca-a 17-year-old boy was arrested on Sunday because he had killed a 12-year-old boy in a park in Compton on Friday.

The deputies found the boy in Fig/Oleander Park around 4 p.m. on Friday at 4 p.m. and started first aid. According to the Sheriff department of the Los Angeles district, the paramedics transported him to a local hospital, where he was later declared dead.

At that time, the suspect was described as just black, including a ski mask. He fled north on the Oleander Avenue, said MPs.

The investigators later identified the suspect, as a 17-year-old boy, based on unspecified evidence that were collected from the scene. The deputies spent an arrest warrant against the boy at around 10 a.m. on Sunday, which was taken into custody in Los Angeles around 10 a.m.

He is held in a youth criminal offense.

Residents who live near the playground said the boy who was killed often spent time in the park. They said that he was a student on the Davis Middle School, reported Kcal.
