Carson Park Stadium, thanks to …

Give it clear to us. Before its 2025 season, the Eau Claire Express brought a brand new video band to Carson Park, a feature that the stadium had never had before. (Photos via Facebook)

A new sporting aesthetics will be an outstanding part of the EAU Claire Express season 2025-and it is equipped with a price of about one million dollars. In addition to new logos and uniforms, the team presented the “WNB Financial Video Board”, Carson Parks of the very first video screen.

Team owner Craig Toycen noticed the growing difficulty in repairing the stadium's former scoreboard as a reason for installing the new board. The addition is part of a significant renovation of baseball facilities that see Toycen as critical. “I appreciate that the city realizes that the stadium is approaching its 90th birthday and that there are some infrastructure needs that are not improvements but are necessary,” he said.

From this spring, around 300,000 US dollars for the renovation fund and the Carson Park Baseball Stadium project were collected, said Toycen. According to a description of the fund, which is managed by the EAU Claire Community Foundation, the city of Eau Claire needs 375,000 US dollars to start building. The city has undertaken to cover half of the total costs of the project, which is an estimated 3.5 million US dollar.

Toycen said the next priorities for Carson Park should include the replacement of general entrance seats along the first and third parties – “They are far beyond their useful life and do not meet the current security standards,” he said about the seats – to implement an artificial lawn field and update examinations.

“The current design is too small, offers no protection against the elements and is not the standard that most athletes currently expect,” Toycen said about the current shelters of the facility.

Those who want to contribute to other upgrades can contact the EAU Claire Community Foundation. “We love Carson Park and its history and we want future generations to continue to enjoy it,” said Toycen.

The schedule for the EAU Claire Express season 2025 is available online, which begins on Monday, May 26th, in Carson Park.
