Highlights from the 28th annual NATCHITOCHES JAZZ & R&B Festival

Natchitches, La. (Calf) – The 28th annual Natchitches jazz and R&B festival brought together thousands together with music, food and unforgettable memories for a weekend.

“Because it's NATCHITOCHES. In Natchitoches, everything is fun,” said a festival visitor, and this year was no exception.

The two -day celebration had something for everyone. From classic Mediterranean food to homemade lemonade and three stages without entertainment, which the participants soaked in full experience.

“Eating and drinks, of course. The food. The people. Homemade lemonade. She is right there – homemade lemonade!” Another festival guest said and pointed out a local favorite.

But the music was the real star. With more than 20 performances that include several genres, the festival provided the promise of an energy -efficient, family -friendly fun.

“We have great entertainment every year, so we really enjoy this part of it,” said a resident who visited annually.

The headliners on Friday evening was Charity Eden, a Taylor Swift tributist, whose passion is based from her own experience, to see Swift on the Eras tour.

“After Dallas, the prices went crazy, which made it almost impossible for people to have the same opportunity I had,” said Eden. “I just felt inspired – maybe I can try to do something as close as possible. I'm just trying to give people at least a little impression of being on the Eras tour.”

Saturday closed with a strong performance by Country Star Gretchen Wilson, fresh from her victory against the masked singer of this season. Wilson brought her characteristic sound onto the NatchiToches stage, and for two of her youngest fans it was a night that you will never forget.

“We sang our little hearts,” they said. “I mean, that's all we did. This is one that you can remember. In any case.”
