Just as deaths in a prison of Pennsylvania County have been piling up in recent years, prison made it even more difficult for the public to find out what was going on inside.

The supervisor listened to telephone calls between prisoners and Pennlive reporters Josh Vaight. And then the Dauphin district, which is located outside of Harrisburg, no longer delivered violent physical arguments.

But even when the prison made it more difficult to get information from the inside, an advance began to gain dynamics to change from the outside.

This goes from a new episode of “Death County, PA”, one of Pennlive and Wonny that was produced on Monday. The podcast reached Apple's Podcast charts two days after the widespread publication of Apple Podcast charts. A new episode will be published every week. The consequence of this week shows problems with healthcare in prison and some of the forces that work to cause changes from outside.

Justin Douglas, the pastor of a local church, decided to question a traded member of the “Good Old Boys” by Dauphin County to question a seat in the County Commission that monitors prison.

Douglas made the reform of the prison to his signature campaign problem, although some political consultants told him that it was not a profit in a conservative area. Against the will of his political consultants, Douglas spent almost half of his campaign money for a huge advertising table with a small photo of him, but huge letters with the inscription:

Douglas then formed an alliance with Lamont Jones, who lost a 21-year-old family member of Dauphin County prison when Jones decided to apply for the city council of Harrisburg. Jones was already successful to change in prison as part of the public advisory committee. According to Jones' advocacy, the prison ceased to collect the fees of prisoners to up to 25 US dollars a day while they were detained. The money was due for her release and Jones argued that they had to return to a life with crimes.

The first episodes of “Death County, PA”. concentrated on the death of two other prisoners who died under suspicious circumstances.
