Crash on Highway 148 and Highway 71 leaves three injured in Nodaway County

Three people took place in an accident with three vehicles, which took place on Sunday evening, May 11th, in Nodaway County, about half a mile north of Maryville.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 6:08 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 148 and the Highway 71.

A 1997 Ford Ranger, who was driven by a 66-year-old man from Lenox, Iowa, drove east on the Jade Road and stopped on a stop sign on Highway 71. A 2018 Dodge Durango, who was driven by a 40-year-old woman, drove a 2007 Kia spectrum on Highway 71. Sign on Highway 71.

The Highway Patrol reported that the Ford Ranger driver did not give in to Dodge Durango. The front driver side of the Durango hit the passenger side of the ranger. The ranger and the Durango then met the front driver side of the Kia spectra.

The Ford Ranger could be rested north on Highway 148. The Dodge Durango and the Kia spectra traveled from the north side of Highway 148 and came to rest in a ditch on their bikes, both to the north.

All three drivers wore seat belts at the time of the crash. The driver of the Durango suffered minor injuries and was transported by the ambulance of the Nodaway County to the Mosaic Medical Center in Maryville. The driver of the Ford Ranger suffered minor injuries and was taken to the same hospital by the private vehicle. The driver of the KIA spectra suffered moderate injuries and was also transported to the Mosaic Medical Center by the ambulance of the Nodaway County.

All three vehicles were damaged and towed out of the scene. The crash was examined by the Missouri State Highway Patrol with the support of the Nodaway County Sheriff's Office and the Maryville Police Department.
