The court continues the hearings on the case of war crimes in which people with Armenian origin are involved

A trial is carried out in the BAKU Court of Justice in the criminal proceedings compared to 15 people of Armenian origin, which are accused Azernews Reports.

The trial under the chair of the judge of the Baku military court Zeynal Agayev continues to check extensive charges in connection with crimes committed during the occupation of Kalbajar and other regions. In the previous session, the court heard detailed statements about the torture of the Azerbaijani prisoners and hostages.

According to the Azerbaijan's Criminal Code, the accused are forced to displace, torture and terrorism for forced expulsion, torture and terrorism. The accusations refer to actions that were committed by the armed forces and illegal armed groups of the so-called “Nagorno-Karabach Republic”, which was unilaterally explained by Armenia when the Azerbaijani country is occupied.

Among the constant legal proceedings are former leaders and military officers such as Arayik Harutyunyan, Arkadi Ghukasyan, Bako Saikyan and others. The indictment against you comprises over 30 articles of the Criminal Code, including Article 100 (aggressive war), Article 103 (Völkermur), Article 113 (torture), Article 214 (terrorism) and Article 278 (forced confiscation).
