UK Wildcats News: NBA Draft Combine the week for Kentucky Basketball

The 2025 NBA Draft Combine is underway because this week more than 75 athletes are gathered in Chicago to present their skills. A total of 75 players received invitations to the combine harvester and some selected participants from the NBA G League Elite Camps who “show” will also take part.

The Kentucky Wildcats of Koby Brea and Otega Oweh are represented of the 75 original invitations.

While BREA has no further college authorization and hopes to find an NBA home with its skills, it is optimism that owe will use this experience to find out what NBA executives and scouts would expand it in Great Britain due to another year.

Oweh's return to Kentucky for his junior year (second in Lexington) is of crucial importance for the layout of the list of the next season and the overall success of the team. He was the most consistent goal scorer last season and has a level of experience and guidance that cannot be replicated.

There is no guarantee that an NBA team (or teams) do not fall in love with oweh and give him the idea that he could be selected in the first round of the design of this summer, but it is generally assumed that this is only a “test run” for the combine harvester and that he will be back in Lexington in autumn.

Amari Williams, Andrew Carr and Lamont Butler received invitations to the Elite Camp of the NBA G League. They took part in several 5-against-5-scrimmage games and several exercises in front of NBA teams. The complete results of the games on Saturday and Sunday can be found here.
