Enfield Mayor seriously injured in the car accident with Hirsch :: wral.com

The mayor of Enfield, Mondal Robinson, was seriously injured on Saturday evening, according to the city, in an accident with a deer.

The crash was reported at 11:50 p.m. that the mayor was on a rural road when he met a deer, over -corrected his steering and lost control of his car. The vehicle hit Nasses grass and fell against a power line and a tree.

The mayor was treated in a trauma unit because of “serious but survivalable injuries” and spent time in intensive care, but has been moved to a private space since then.

Robinson, who was operated on, suffered a deep cut on the head, injured his arm and face and several fractures on the knee, pelvis and thighs.

The city published the following explanation:

“The mayor thanks for the unshakable support of his family, friends and the entire community in this difficult time. He asks for keeping him in your thoughts and prayers while preparing for an operation.”
