The French government provides clarification of President Macron's “cocaine” video

The French government was forced to clarify after the online stirring theorists claimed President Emmanuel Macron, in addition to the British Prime Minister Keir Starrer and the German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, cocaine snorted together.

The trio traveled to meet Ukrainian President Volodmyr Zelensky in Kyiv to demand that Russia agree to an armistice. When the leaders were sitting in the car for a photo surgery, some right-wing extremists and pro-Russian reports claimed that the French guide hid a bag of cocaine.

Videos of the alleged incident flooded social media, whereby other conspiracy theorists claim to have discovered a “cocaine spoon” that is normally used for nasal insufflation.

In response to the rumors, the French presidency announced that it was a coordinated disinformation campaign to break the European unit.

“When European unity becomes impractical, the disinformation goes so far to make a simple tissue look like drugs,” wrote Elysee on X (formerly Twitter) and denounced the allegations.

“These fake messages are widespread by the enemies of France abroad and at home. We have to remain vigilant against manipulation.”

Peace talks

While Vladimir Putin's helper initially depressed the peace plans that were conjured up by the European leaders, the Russian president announced his wish to restart the peace talks on Sunday (May 11th).

“We are committed to serious negotiations with Ukraine,” said Putin.

The Ukrainian President welcomed his Russian counterpart to his offer and called it a “positive sign”. Mr. Zelensky added that the whole world “had been waiting for a long time. And the very first step to really end a warfire” is a ceasefire “.
