The first group flies to us

The first set of 49 white South Africans who received the refugee status from the government of President Donald Trump are on the way to the USA.

On Sunday they got to a flight from Johannesburg, which later ends up in Washington DC on Monday.

This is done after a weekend of speculation about when the Africans would travel to America, and criticizes the South African government, which described the US new settlement scheme as “politically motivated”.

Relations between South Africa and the United States have been tense for months according to an executive regulation in February, in which President Trump found that African victims of “racial discrimination” were.

The United States has criticized domestic South African politics and accused the government of confiscating land without compensation for white farmers – something that the South African nation says has not happened.

The bilateral tensions have been polluted for months when President Trump commissioned his administration to formulate plans to reconcile the Africans in the United States.

In March, the South African ambassador in the United States, Ebrahim Rasool, was excluded after accusing President Trump to use “white victim as a dog whistle”, which led to the United States accused Mr. Rasool for “racial bait”.

The current group of refugees comprises 49 people who are expected to end up in Washington DC on Monday before they continue to Texas.

President Trump's openness to accept refugees from Africans, since the United States introduced a broader approach to migrants and asylum seekers from other countries.
