When you think of the greatest western television programs of all time, titles such as “Gunsmoke” and “Deadwood” will probably (and rightly) start to ring. A series that has been overlooked over the decades is the 1989 Miniseries “Lonesome Dove”. For every western fan who can stream this epic four-part fame (or a happy son of a weapon for the first time), stream “Lonesome Dove” on Prime Video and Peacock. If you mix between streaming services (who is not nowadays?) And currently don't have it, the series is also available free of charge on YouTube.

The Minisers from Larry McMurty's novel of the same name have an almost legendary squad: Robert Duvall, Tommy Lee Jones, Diane Lane and Danny Glover with names such as Chris Cooper, Steve Buscemi and Anjelica Huston (together with many other veteran actors).

“Lonesome Dove” was an immediate and smashed success in his debut. Critics and spectators have distributed the mini series with limitless praise, with Duvall's representation of Augustus McCrae deserving a golden Globe. The overall show also won the Golden Globe for the best mini series and collected a wide column of Emmy victories and nominations. Ignore the pun, but over 30 years later, “Lonesome Dove” still ensures the necessary willingness.

What is it lonely about?

“Lonesome Dove” revolves around Augustus McCrae and Woodrow Call (Tommy Lee Jones, whose performance brought him Emmy and Golden Globe nominations), a few retired Texas Rangers who long for something else. The two may leave their heyday, but when an old acquaintance appears from their heyday with Grand Tales of Montana, the call is on adventure like lightning. And so one of the greatest western stories that have ever been told.

Here, too, “Lonesome Dove” can be seen for every western fan. It is an epic mini series that can also be tall when they are stacked against the best western films of all time. So if you still appear from the finale of the second season of the second season of “1923” and need another historical weapons epic for binge? “Lonesome Dove” may not be the only option, but it's certainly the best.
