2 of serious injury accidents 33, CR 57, transported

The soldiers of the Marysville Post of Ohio State Highway Patrol examine a serious accident with two vehicles on Saturday, May 10th, which sent two people to area hospitals.

The soldiers report on the driver Gerald B. Norris, 87, from Rushsylvania, was brought to Lima Memorial Hospital by Huntsville Ems in a serious condition.

A passenger in the other vehicle involved, which was identified as Rony Martinez von Columbus
was flown by the Careflight helicopter with non-life-threatening injuries to the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.

At around 6.40 p.m., the soldiers reacted to the accident of the violation of the intersection of the US route 33 in County Road 57 in Logan County. The preliminary investigation shows that Norris did a Honda CR-V in the east to CR 57 when he could not give in at the intersection.

A 2003 Chevrolet Express-Van, which drives south on the USA and was operated by Pablo Guevara from Oxnard, California, then hit the Honda CR-V on the driver's side.

The Chevrolet van was occupied by Rudy Riveria, 33; Jose Tscobar, 36; Rony Martinez, 27; Willon Alvonjas, 27; and Carlos Rosles, 32; all of Columbus. Guevara suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. None of the other occupants suffered injuries.

It is believed that neither alcohol nor drugs have a contribution factors in this crash.

The crash is examined by Ohio State Highway Patrol.
